LASPPPA

Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) was established by Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law, 2010 as one of the Agencies/ Parastatals under the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development (MPP&UD). The Official Headquarters of the Agency is located along LASPPPA Road off Oba Akinjobi Road, Ikeja Old Secretariat, Ikeja- Lagos State, Nigeria.


The Authority is saddled with the following responsibilities

  1. Processing and issuance of all planning permits in the State, subject to the provisions of 2010 Law, Physical Planning Regulations, Approved Operative Development Plans and Approval Orders.
  2. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Physical Planning Regulations, Approved Operative Development Plans and Approval Orders.
  3. Establishing District Planning Permit Offices for the discharge of its functions
  4. Establishing Local Planning Permit Offices in cooperation with the Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas for the discharge of its functions at the Local Government level.
  5. Preparation and periodic review of the following categories of Physical Development Plans;
    1. District Plans;
    2. Development Guide Plans;
    3. Town Plans; and
    4. Local Plans.
  6. Referring any Physical Development plan prepared by it to the Ministry for the purpose of obtaining the approval of the Commissioner;
  7. Keeping records of planning permit applications granted, rejected or withdrawn and publication of the list in State Official Gazette;
  8. Evaluation of Physical Planning Technical Report in consultation with the Ministry;
